In a commendable act of generosity and community service, the SLE Seva Vanitha Branch, in collaboration with the Lions Club of Colombo, organized a donation program for the students of Angampitiya Primary School, Padukka, on 26th February.
The event was attended by Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, along with Mrs. Surangi Amarapala, President of the SLE Seva Vanitha Branch, and the District Governor of the Lions Club.
The initiative aligned with the Clean Sri Lanka project, launched by His Excellency the President, aiming to uplift living standards and education. It provided significant support to students, parents, and the school. Newly enrolled students received school bags to aid their academic journey. To promote financial security, NSB savings accounts were opened for schoolchildren. Parents were provided with dry ration packs, offering much-needed relief. The school auditorium was equipped with plastic chairs, enhancing its facilities. The event also featured a special luncheon, fostering a sense of unity and warmth.
Furthering their commitment to holistic well-being, a mobile dental and eye clinic was conducted, ensuring essential healthcare for students and parents.This initiative was made possible through the generous contributions of donors from the Lions Club of Colombo. The SLE Seva Vanitha Branch meticulously coordinated the event, ensuring a meaningful and impactful experience. With bright smiles and heartfelt gratitude, this collaboration served as a beacon of hope, reinforcing the values of kindness, education, and community support.
