Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers hosted a farewell parade on 27 July 2023 for one of its proud Senior Officers, Maj Gen KAA Udaya Kumara RSP VSV USP USAWC psc, who retiring after a dedicated service of more than three decades. The day’s ceremony commenced with the customary Guard Turnout, Guard of honour at the RHQ parade ground and followed by addressing to the troops of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.
A customary farewell dinner was hosted in the evening to the retiring Senior Officer where Sapper Officers and their spouses participated. The Commander Security Forces Headquarters Mullaitivu and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Maj Gen MK Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu delivered the farewell note extending a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation for his service rendered. Maj Gen KAA Udaya Kumara in turn thanked the Colonel Commandant, all Officers and all ranks for the support they extended during his tenure.
