SENIOR SAPPER VETERAN CALLS ON COLONEL COMMANDANT

Lieutenant Colonel Kalyanapriya Wijesundara(Retd) USP SLE, one of the senior veterans in the ‘Sappers’ Family of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers currently settled in Australia, visited to the Regimental Centre, to pay courtesies to the Director General Financial Management and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc on Friday, 19th July 2024 during his short stay in Sri Lanka.

The Colonel Commandant warmly welcomed the visiting senior veteran, who happened to be a former Commanding Officer of the 10 Field Engineer Regiment.

Lieutenant Colonel Kalyanapriya Wijesundara(Retd) USP SLE, one of the proud products of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers who retired from the Army in 2010 and has rendered a notable service to the Army at operational, administrative and instructional levels.

During the brief interactive meeting, the Colonel Commandant admired the retired Senior Officer’s valuable contribution to the Army holding varied offices and responsible appointments during his career of 25 years and extended best wishes to the visiting Senior Sapper Veteran by presenting a memento after the meeting.
