Army Inter Regiment Wrestling Championship 2023 was held from 25 May 2023 to 28 May 2023 at the Indoor Stadium APTS Panagoda was organized by Army Wrestling Committee. Major General SA Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, General Officer Commanding of 23 Infantry Division and the Chairman of Army Wrestling Committee attended the finals and graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
Sapper wrestlers, both men and women have won 07 Gold Medals, 04 Silver Medals and 06 Bronze Medals by becoming the Runner up (Open male and female), 4th place from Novices male event and S/252461 Spr Rathnayake RMAL was awarded the trophy for ‘Emerging female player of the year’. This achievement has been achieved by sappers after 19 years back from 2004.
