SAPPERS DRILL, PACE STICK AND BRASS BAND COMPETITIORS WERE PRAISED FOR THEIR PERFORMANCES

Sri Lanka Army’s one of the most colorful routine spectacles of the year, the Prize Awarding to the winners and participants of the Inter Regiment Drill, Pace Stick and Band Competition - 2023 got under way at SLLI Parade ground – Panagoda on 30 November 2023 headed by the Commander of the Army.

Brass band of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers was awarded with the trophy of 2nd place and Capt OH Vidyarathne SLE secured the place of 2nd for the best commander by adding glamour to the Corps. Brass Band was warmly welcomed by street lining of troops when returning back to the Regimental Centre after the awarding ceremony.

Under the concept of the Commander Security Forces Mullaitivu and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Maj Gen MK Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu and the Centre Commandant Brig SPG Gamage RWP RSP USP all the Drill, Pace stick and Band competitors were praised with awarding of appreciation certificates on behalf of their untiring effort and the dedication.
