SAPPER CHADRASEKARA BECAME THE BEST WRESTLER IN NATIONAL WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP 2016
The National Wrestling Championship 2016 was held from 1st December 2016 to 3rd December 2016 at the New Indoor Stadium of the Sports Ministry at Torrington in Colombo.
The meet organised and conducted annually by the Wrestling Federation of Sri Lanka (WFSL) is tagged as \'Pulsar Power\' National Championship, where all its affiliated clubs, associations, institutions and schools are expected to compete. Events were conducted under eight different weight categories for men and women and under 10 different weight categories for juniors.
Army wrestlers became the Runner up in the championship and Sapper Chandrasekara DKH won a gold medal among 16 wrestlers under 57 KG weight Class. Finally he became the best wrestler in the National Wrestling Championship 2016 and received the trophy.
