The Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and the Commandant of Defence Services Command and Staff College Maj Gen I H M N N Herath RSP USP psc made his official visit to 15 (V) Engineer Regiment on 22 January 2022.
Officiating Commanding Officer of 15 (V) SLE, Maj WMMP Wanigasooriya USP psc SLE warmly welcomed the Colonel Commandant on arrival at the main entrance and he was presented with a Guard Turnout. The event commenced with opening of newly constructed lecture hall and Q-store by the Colonel Commandant. Further, he planted a Mango sapling to symbolize his remarkable and commemorative visit. Then the participants of the event were appeared for the group photograph.
Thereafter, CO’s briefing was followed by the troop address conducted by Colonel Commandant which mainly focused to the discipline issues and general military conduct. Subsequently, Colonel Commandant visited the camp premises and inspected the progress of the Colonel Commandant was highly appreciated the effort taken by the all ranks of 15 (V) SLE to uplift the infrastructure facilities in the camp premises. And also he emphasized the excellent work progress shown by the Regiment while continuing the construction projects assigned. Finally, the Colonel Commandant said Good Bye to the 15 (V) Engineers after having lunch and interaction session with all Officers.
