OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE COLONEL COMMANDANT TO 6 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

Major General DKSK Dolage USP nps psc, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, paid an official visit to the 6 Field Engineer Regiment at Pallekele on Sunday, 28 September 2025.

The programme commenced with the Colonel Commandant being accorded a Drive Pass at the main entrance and warmly received by Lieutenant Colonel BLGTP Subasinghe RSP USP psc SLE, the Commanding Officer of the Regiment.

Following this, the Colonel Commandant paid tribute to the fallen war heroes. Thereafter, the Commanding Officer, together with the officers of the unit, presented a comprehensive briefing on the Regiment’s operational commitments, ongoing deployments, and overall performance. In line with the programme, Colonel Commandant posed for a group photograph with the officers.

Addressing the troops, the Colonel Commandant emphasized the importance of resilience in overcoming challenges, reiterated his endorsement of the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ initiative, and highlighted the indispensable role of the Sri Lanka Army in fostering community engagement and contributing to national development.

Subsequently, he interacted with all ranks during a tea at the Sappers’ Mess. Before concluding his visit, the Colonel Commandant penned a complimentary note in the Visitors’ Book at the Officers’ Mess. This programme was also attended by Brigadier KASJ Kodithuwakku USP ptsc, Commander Plant Engineer Brigade, and Colonel RM Subasinghe RSP, Centre Commandant SLE.
