OFFICIAL VISIT OF THE CHIEF OF STAFF OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY AND COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS TO 4 (V) ENGINEER REGIMENT

The 4 (V) Engineer Regiment of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers had the honour of hosting Major General DKSK Dolage USP nps psc, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, on 24 March 2026.

The visit commenced with a ceremonial Drive-Pass accorded to the Senior Officer at the main entrance, showcasing the reverence to the superiors of the regiment. Thereafter, the visiting dignitary was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of the 4 (V) Engineer Regiment, along with the Senior Officers of the unit.

Subsequently, the COS and the Colonel Commandant, SLE addressed all Officers and Other Ranks at the Lecture Hall, where he commended dedication, operational readiness, and significant contributions to national development demonstrated by troops of 4 (V) Engineer Regiment. He also expressed his appreciation for the regiment’s efforts in military construction projects and emergency response operations during natural disasters.

An interactive session with officers followed at the Officers´ Mess, with shared professional guidance, and the exchange of ideas. The Colonel Commandant then signed the Visitors’ Book, adding the remarkable date to the proud history of the regiment .The programme continued with a group photograph with Officers, capturing the moment of the visit.

Thereafter, the Chief of Staff engaged in a cordial interaction with all ranks during a formal tea hosted by the regiment. The visit concluded with the departure of the Chief of Staff and Colonel Commandant, which greatly enhanced the morale of the troops of the 4 (V) Engineer Regiment Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.
