OFFICERS TRAINING DAY 2/2023 CONDUCTED AT RHQ SLE

The Officers training day 2/2023 was conducted by RHQ SLE on 06 July 2023 at the Regimental Centre – Panagoda. The programme was included Physical training, Drill and a valuable lecture sessions conducted by the Centre Commandant SLE, Brig Manoj Madurapperuma RSP USP psc under the topic of ‘Criteria for Selecting Officers for Senior Appointments’ and Maj(Retd) Anil Senaviratne GW under the topic of ‘Legal consequences of some misconducts under general law for persons subject to military law’.

Moreover, the programme was followed by a Panel Discussion with a noteworthy lectures plus discussions conducted by Maj Gen AED Wijendra(Retd) RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, Maj Gen MDS Chandrapala(Retd) RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc and Maj Gen VN Wijeyagoonawardana(Retd) RSP USP ndu Ldmc who were former Colonel Commandants of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers under the following topics.

● Officer, Gentleman and Leadership

● Officer and sportsmanship

● Officers’ mental stress and psychological aspect

The program was conducted with the guidance of Maj Gen MK Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu The Commander of Security Forces Headquarters Mullaitivu and the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers. The Chief Field Engineer of Sri Lanka Army Maj Gen Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, Commander Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division Maj Gen Shewanth Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, Director Training Maj Gen DKSK Dolage USP psc, Brig TC Peiris RSP USP Commander General Engineering Brigade, Commanding Officers and around 100 Senior Officers/Officer participated to the event.
