NEWLY CONSTRUCTED HEADQUARTER BUILDING OF SCHOOL OF SRILANKA MILITARY ENGINEERING WAS DECLARED OPENED

Newly constructed Headquarter building of School of Sri Lanka Military Engineering was declared opened by the Colonel Commandant Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and Commander Security Force Headquarter (West) Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe RWP RSP Msc ndu psc on 16th June 2017 at School of Sri Lanka Military Engineering Thunkama, Embilipitiya. At the invitation of the Commandant of School of Sri Lanka Military Engineering, Lieutenant Colonel WS Gamage RSP USP psc, the Colonel Commandant Major General S Ranasinghe RWP RSP Msc ndu psc symbolically cut a ribbon at the entrance to the newly constructed Regimental Headquarter building and unveiled the plaque. Thereafter the Colonel Commandant and senior officers inspected the new Headquarter building. Giving a historic memory to the occasion the Colonel Commandant planted a tree sapling at the camp premises. Thereafter the chief guest participated for the all rank lunch with Sapper Officers and Other Ranks of School of Military Engineering. Chief Field Engineer Major General GDI Karunarathne RSP psc, The Commander 583 Brigade (former Center Commandant) Brigadier AN Amarasekara USP, The Centre Commandant Brigadier IHMNN Herath RSP USP psc, The Deputy Centre Commandant Colonel A H L G Amarapala RWP RSP psc, many other Senior Sapper Officers including Commanding Officers, Sapper Officers and Other Ranks were participated for the event.
