NEW GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF SRI LANKA ARMY ENGINEER DIVISION TOOK OVER DUTIES ON 8 JUNE 2023

Major General S A Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc assumed duties as the 4th General Officer Commanding of Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division on 8 June 2023. As per military tradition the in coming General Officer Commanding was welcomed to the Headquarters of the Engineer Division with a guard of honour and later Maj Gen S A Kulatunge took over duties of his new office amidst the chanting of Seth pirith. On conclusion of the excellently arranged military formalities, Maj Gen Kulatunge addressed the troops. During the troop address, he thanked all officers and men for the warm welcomed accorded to him. He also made note of the contributions made by the former commanders of the Engineer Division for the uplift of the division and thanked them for their efforts. He also paid special tribute to the valiant sapper Officers and men who sacrificed their life and limb for our motherland. During the address he emphasized on the importance of dedication, commitment, team work and discipline when working towards the achievement of organizational goals. Commander General Engineering Brigade, Brig T C Peiris RSP USP, Commander (overlooking) Plant Engineer Brigade, Col H S K Jayasinghe RSP, Deputy Center Commandant, Senior officers, Commanding Officers and divisional staff participated in the event. Maj Gen S A Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, previously held the appointment of General Officer Commanding 23 Infantry Division.
