MEMBERS OF ENGINEERS SEVA VANITHA BRANCH VISITED ABIMANSALA ANURADHAPURA

The president Mrs. Lushani Goonetilleke and other members of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch visited Abimansala – Auradhapura on 12th March 2016 to share the happiness and interacted with officers & soldiers who were wounded in action. The Abimansala One at Anuradhapura lying in a landmass of 5 acres is to house 50 more dependent War Heroes, resident in the North Central Province for lifetime care and rehabilitation. The brave dependent war heroes are comfortably accommodated for lifelong care and nurture these welfare facilities. All facilities are provided free of charge to ensure the well-being, rehabilitation, rest and recreation of the brave soldiers who had sacrificed during the three decades long conflict in order to achieve permanent peace in our motherland. During the visit the president and members of the Seva Vanitha branch had the privilege of interact with the war heroes and gifts were distributed among them. Musical event added glamour and colour to the days programme at Abimansala – Anuradhapura.
