MAJOR GENERAL NJ WALGAMA RSP VSV USP ndu psc HONOURED WITH A DINNER NIGHT

Sappers’ family bid a farewell to Major General NJ Walgama RSP VSV USP ndu psc for his well-deserved 36 years of illustrious military career in the Army, on 24 October 2019 at the Regimental Centre Officers’ Mess of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.

Major General Janaka Walgama enlisted to the Sri Lanka Army on 16 October 1981 and commissioned as a Second Lieutenant on 28 June 1983. Having posted to the Corps of Engineers, he has held many key appointments in all three spheres in the military service such as command, instructional and staff.

Following the military traditions and customs, retired Major General Janaka Walgama was hosted a Farewell Dinner at the Officers’ Mess. Major General HJS Gunawardena RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Colonel Commandant Corps of Engineers and Mrs Sagara Gunawardena the President Seva Vanitha Branch, Corps of Engineers and a large gathering of officers with their spouses graced the occasion to extend best wishes for the outgoing Major General and his loving family.
