Major General D K S K Dolage USP psc, the General Officer Commanding of the Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division, paid his inaugural visit to the Headquarters Plant Engineer Brigade in Kanthale on 15 March 2024. Colonel H S K Jayasinghe RSP, the Commander of the Plant Engineer Brigade, extended a warm welcome to him upon his arrival.
The visit began with formalities as the GOC observed a drive-pass. Subsequently, the Brigade Commander provided a detailed briefing on the organisational structure, strength, and tasks of the Field and Plant Engineer task pertaining to the brigade.
During the visit, a symbolic gesture was made by planting a mango sapling. The General Officer Commanding addressed the brigade troops, emphasising their responsibilities in their roles and tasks. Additionally, he underscored the importance of discipline both in military service and civilian life.
After addressing the troops, the GOC participated in an all-rank tea session, and the programme concluded with the signing of the visitor’s book.
