MAIDEN VISIT OF THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS TO SRI LANKA SCHOOL OF MILITARY ENGINEERING

The Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army Major General MK Jayawardena RSP USP ndu, paid a formal visit to the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering on 18 December 2022. The Colonel Commandant on his arrival was accorded a Drive pass. The Commandant of SLSME Col MKV Manoharan USP briefed the Colonel Commandant on the present progress on training, administration and logistics. Subsequent to the briefing, the Colonel Commandant visited the lecture halls and living areas. The visit was culminated with the Colonel Commandant joining all ranks for tea at the NCO club. The Colonel Commandant addressing the gathering stressed the importance of enhancing training and expanding the professionalism of the Corps. Subsequently the Colonel Commandant was presented with a memento to mark his maiden visit to the Sri Lanka School of Military Engineering
