Inter Regiment drill competition of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers was held on 7,8,9&10 September 2022 at Regimental Headquarters Panagoda. Accordingly, the presenting of awards for the Champions and Runners up was conducted on Tuesday 4 October 2022 with the participation of Major General WMGCSB Wijayasundara RSP USP ndu the Security Force Commander Jaffna and Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers as the Chief guest for the event.13 Engineer Regiments participated for the competition and the places won as follows,
1st place - 5 Field Engineer regiment
2nd place - 16 Workshop Engineer Regiment
3rd place – 14 CBRN regiment
The best Platoon commander of the Inter Regiment drill competition was awarded to Captain WARK Wickramasingha SLE of 16 Workshop Regiment and the best drill instructor was awarded to Staff Sargent Sumanadhasa JM of 9 Field Engineer Regiment. Further, Colonel Commandant awarded the Champion flag of the Inter Regiment drill competition to the Commanding Officer of 5 Field Engineer Regiment for their best performances.
Senior Officers, Officers, Commanding Officers, Regimental Sargent Majors and other ranks of Core of Engineers took part.
