The General Officer Commanding of Sri Lanka Army Engineer Division Major General D K S K Dolage USP psc made his maiden visit to Headquarters, Field Engineer Brigade and 8 Field Engineer Regiment at Boo Oya, Vavuniya on 14 March 2024. The GOC was warmly received by the Commander Field Engineer Brigade, Colonel F Joseph USP.
The visit commenced with the GOC receiving a drive pass, adhering to formalities. Subsequently, the Brigade Commander and Staff Officers presented a comprehensive briefing covering Organizational Structure, Strength, Field and Plant Engineer task, Demining progress and Logistic matters of the Brigade.
Afterwards, his visit was symbolized by planting a mango sapling. The General Officer Commanding addressed the troops, emphasizing responsibilities when performing role and task. Moreover, the GOC elaborated on the importance of discipline to the troops.
Following with the troop address, the GOC joined the all-rank tea and programme was culminated with inspection of 164 Workshop yard, Plant machine yard and K9 wing.
