Commander Engineer Division, Maj Gen Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc, visited 4(V) Engineer Regiment on 05 June 2023 before he hands over duties as Commander Engineer Division at the invitation of Commanding Officer 4 (V) Engineer Regiment, Major Eranda Samarakoon RSP USP psc. Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndu psc, addressed the Troops of 4 (v) Engineer Regiment during the visit. He appreciated commendable support given by troop specially in nation building tasks and all construction work carried out in the army, expressing his heart felt gratitude, reminded that of historical background of the unit since 1911. Further, he explained the great contribution done by fore fathers of the unit and their contribution in construction field and many other fields such as sports with expertise and professional approach. He stressed upon the legacy that founding fathers continue to maintain and to be maintained throughout. The event entailed with tree sapling, all ranks tea and Lunch at Officers Mess. The senior Non-Commissioned Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Militarized troops shared their views at the tea party.
