GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING ENGINEER DIVISION MADE AN OFFICIAL VISIT TO PRESTIGIOUS 5 FIELD ENGINEER REGIMENT

Major General DKSK Dolage USP psc the General Officer Commanding, Engineer Division, paid an Official visit to the 5 Field Engineer Regiment on 04 March 2024.

Upon arrival, the General Officer Commanding was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer of 5 Field Engineer Regiment Lieutenant Colonel WMPT Jayawardena SLE. The Commanding Officer and other Respective Officers conducted a comprehensive briefing to the visiting Senior Officer about role and tasks, organizational structure, strength, administration and logistic of the regiment.

Afterwards, his visit was symbolized by planting a mango sapling. The General Officer Commanding addressed the troops, emphasizing responsibilities when performing role and tasks. Moreover, the General Officer Commanding Engineer Division elaborated on the importance of discipline to the troops.

Following with the troop address, the General Officer Commanding joined tea party with all ranks and programme was culminated with inspection of construction process of 3 storey accommodation building at Officers' Mess and 3 storey accommodation building of other ranks.
