GENERAL OFFICER COMMANDING OF ENGINEER DIVISION MADE HIS INAUGURAL VISIT TO 14 CBRNE RESPONSE REGIMENT

The General Officer Commanding of the Engineer Division Major General DKSK Dolage USP psc has made his first official visit to 14 Chemical Biological Radiology Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Response Regiment on 22 January 2024 at Mattegoda. The newly appointed GOC was warmly received by the Commanding Officer of 14 CBRNE Response Regiment, extending a gracious welcome on behalf of all Officers and Other Ranks of the Regiment.

The visit commenced with the GOC receiving a drive pass, adhering to formalities. Subsequently, the Commanding Officer and other Officers presented a comprehensive briefing covering vital aspects such as role and tasks, organizational structure, training programmes, strength, administration, and logistic matters of the Regiment. The event took a symbolic turn with the planting of a mango sapling.

Following these formalities, the GOC delivered a detailed and precious troop address, emphasizing the duties and responsibilities of the Sappers in enhancing their value as a special unit in the contemporary scenario. The GOC underscored the dual role of soldiers as both defenders of the nation and responsible citizens, highlighting the importance of maintaining military discipline and training.

After the troop address, the GOC toured the camp premises, gaining insights into the operational capabilities of the 14 CBRNE Response Regiment.
