FELICITATION PARADE TO NEWLY PROMOTED TWO STAR GENERALS

Major General K A N Rasika Kumara psc and Major General M P K Madurapperuma RSP USP psc was honoured with a Guard Turnout and Guard of Honour for their promotions to the rank of Major General on 26th September 2023 at the Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda.

The newly promoted Major General Rasika Kumara psc and Major General Manoj Madurapperuma RSP USP psc warmly welcomed by the Centre Commandant Brigadier SPG Gamage RWP RSP USP on their arrival to the Corps Headquarter. Thereafter, they were bestowed with Guard Turnout at the main entrance. Then Major General Rasika Kumara psc and Major General Manoj Madurapperuma RSP USP psc took salute at the Guard of Honour in conformity with the military traditions. Members of the Regimental Council, the Centre Commandant, Senior Officers, Commanding Officers, Officers & Other Ranks were present at the ceremony.

The occasion was marked with a Tea party at the Officers’ Mess where the Chief Guests were greeted by all Officers of the Corps. Presently Major General Rasika Kumara psc is following NDC and Major General Manoj Madurapperuma RSP USP psc is holding the appointment of Director General Real Estate and Quartering at Army Headquarters.
