EXPLOSIVE ORDNANCE DISPOSAL (EOD) LEVEL III COURSE, ADVANCE PARA MEDIC COURSE AND VET TECH EDUCATION COURSES SUCCESSFULLY TERMINATED AT ENGINEER BRIGADE
US Army Training Assistance has been providing to Sri Lanka Army Humanitarian Demining Unit to maintain and sustaining effective conduct of humanitarian De-mining. Their training assistance has been planned into five consecutive financial years which was begun in 2014. During first three years, US Army training programme was focused to train EOD level I, II & III courses with Basic Medic courses and Basic Veterinarian courses. \r\n\r\nThe fourth Phase of EOD level III Course, Advance Para medic course and Vet Tech Education courses were commenced with the participation of 12 Officers and 47 Other Ranks at Headquarter Engineer Brigade – Boo Oya on 18 September 2017 and successfully terminated on 28 September 2017.The Commander Security Forces (West) and the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.General Officer Commanding 57 Div- Major General HJS Gunawardena RSP USP ndc psc, Commander Engineer Brigade - Brigadier SJMAR Seneviratne RWP USP psc , Chief, Office of Defense Cooperation, Embassy of the United States of America - LCDR Wendy Ng, Military Program Specialist, Embassy of the United States of America - Wing Comd (Retd) Chanaka Fernando also participated for the closing ceremony.\r\n
