CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS BIDS FAREWELL TO RETIRING MAJOR GENERAL S A KULATUNGE RWP RSP VSV USP psc

Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers bid a heartfelt and respectful farewell to Major General S A Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc with military honours and greetings on Saturday, 07th December 2024, marking the conclusion of his distinguished military service spanning over 35 years in the Sri Lanka Army.

The day's proceedings commenced with a Guard Turnout and a vibrant Guard of Honour at the Regimental Parade Ground, followed by a convivial tea party was arranged at the Regimental Officers' Mess, attended by Regimental Council Members, Senior Officers and Officers of the Corps.

The evening was highlighted by a farewell Dinner Night, graced by large gathering of Sapper Officers and their spouses, was hosted in honour of the retiring Senior Officer. During farewell dinner, the Commandant Defence Services Command and Staff College and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps, Major General D K S K Dolage USP psc, delivered the farewell note, on behalf of the Colonel Commandant who is away from the country for an official commitment , acknowledging Major General Shewanth Kulatunge’s exceptional service. In response, Major General Shewanth Kulatunge extended his appreciation to the Colonel Commandant and all ranks of the Corps and all members of the SLE Seva Vanitha Branch for their unwavering support and camaraderie extended, which greatly enriched his tour of duty in the Sri Lanka Army.
