CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS 66 ANNIVERSARY RELIGIOUS CEREMONIES INAUGURATE IN KATARAGAMA
The inaugural ceremony of series of religious ceremonies line up in connection with the forthcoming 66 Anniversary of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers took place on 30 October 2017 at Kataragama Kirivehera and Devala precincts.\r\nColonel Commandant and the Commander Security Forces (West) Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc as the Chief Guest together with Commander Engineer Brigade Brigadier SJMAR Senevirathne RWP USP psc, Centre Commandant Brigadier IHMNN Herath RSP USP psc and number of Senior Officers graced the occasion.\r\nRegimental flag and the flags of all Regiments were placed in a special float for invocation of blessings. Simultaneously section of gathering took part in special “Kapruk Pooja” and Kirivehera incumbent monk conducted religious rites for the distinguished devotees.\r\nAfterwards the flags were blessed at the “Ashtapala bodhiya” and the inner chamber of the Maha Dewalaya.\r\nAs the final segment of the day’s ceremony Islamic Religious observances in connection with the 66th - Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Anniversary were performed at Kataragama Mosque.\r\n
