CORPS OF ENGINEERS PARTICIPATED FOR 68TH INDEPENDENCE DAY MILITARY PARADE

Corps of Engineers with a total 194 number of troops including ceremonial foot column along with regimental band and mechanized column participated for the 68th Independence Day Military Parade held at Galle Face on 4 February 2016.\r\n\r\nCeremonial column was commanded by Major L L S C Cabral SLE and Mechanical column was commanded by Lieutenant Colonel C D Wickramanayake WV SLE. \r\n\r\nMechanical Column consisted with Sniffer and Mine Detection Dogs, Bush cutter, Compact 200 bridge, demonstration of a demining site, display of CBRN troops and Improvised armored dozer. \r\n\r\nIn addition, Capt H M S L B Herath SLE carried the Army flag at the beginning of the Army column and WO I WPAG Wickramasinghe, WO II Kumara BMS, WO II Dissanayake SRP participated in the Drill Instructors squad representing Corps of Engineers. \r\n
