The Colonel Commandant Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and the Commandant Defence Services Command and Staff College Major General IHMNN Herath RSP USP psc made his official visit to Field Engineer Brigade & 8 Field Engineer Regiment, Boo Oya on 02 April 2022. The Colonel Commandant on his arrival was warmly welcomed by the Commander Field Engineer Brigade.
The Field Engineer Brigade Commander and Commanding Officer 8 SLE conducted official briefings, subsequently Colonel Commandant addressed Officers regarding importance of being professional members in the Army, later the Colonel Commandant addressed the troops highlighting the importance of contribution of all ranks towards the organization by adhering the principles of engineers.
Then he witnessed the progress of ongoing Aquaculture project. There after he visited the K9 Section of Field Engineer Brigade and the Sappers’ Mess 8 SLE. The whole Day’s Programme was conducted by adhering to health safety guidelines and social distancing practices.
