THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF THE CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS COMMENDS RETIRING COLONEL’S NOTABLE SERVICE

Colonel L M Haputhanthri of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers was invited by the Director General Financial Management and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, Major General Lanka Amarapala RWP RSP ndc psc to his office, prior to his retirement from the Sri Lanka Army having completed nearly 31 years of service in the Army on 05 May 2024 at Regimental Centre SLE.

This Senior Officer was held the appointment as the Colonel (Coordination) at the Office of Chief Field Engineer and retiring on 05 May 2024 by reaching the age of 55 years.

During the call on, the Colonel Commandant extoled the Senior Officer for his unwavering dedication and exemplary performance in a variety of challenging roles throughout his service to the Army. In response, Colonel L M Haputhanthri expressed profound gratitude for the steadfast guidance and support given to him by all Senior Officers during his tour of duty.

Towards the end of the interactions, the Colonel Commandant presented a special memento to the retiring Senior Officer as a symbol of appreciation and commendation made by him to the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and to the Army.
