COLONEL COMMANDANT CONGRATULATED THE SAPPER SPORTSMEN.
Two outstanding sportsmen of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers were appreciated by the Major General HCP Goonetilleke RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Deputy Chief of Staff of Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers at pm hours on 9th December 2016 at the Corps Headquarters at Panagoda.
National Marathon winner, Lance Corporal Sandaruwan EGD has been selected for the SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organization) Kunming International Marathon in China which is to be held on 17th December 2016. Colonel Commandant presented a gift to Lance Corporal Sandaruwan and congratulated for his achievement. Further, He wished him all the very best for the International Marathon.
Thereafter, Colonel Commandant congratulated Sapper Chandrasekara DKH, who became the best wrestler in the National Wrestling Championship 2016. Sapper Chandrasekara was promoted to Rank of Lance Corporal for his achievement.
