ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – 2023 OF SEVA VANITHA BRANCH OF CORPS OF SRI LANKA ENGINEERS WAS SUCCESSFULLY CONCLUDED

The 26th Annual General Meeting of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers was held on 22 September 2023 at the Regimental Centre Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers. The meeting was presided by the President Seva Vanitha Branch of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Mrs. Shammi Jayawardena. Spouses of Serving Officers of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers including the Executive Committee of the Branch namely Mrs. Surangi Amarapala as Vice President, Mrs. Waruni Kulathunge as Secretary, Mrs. Achala Seneviratne as Treasurer and Mrs. Machila Perera as Public Coordinating Officer, participated for the event.

A donation programme was conducted during the meeting by donating of valuable scholarship for a son of injured soldier during the humanitarian operation, for achieving of 9-A passes at the GCE Ordinary Level Examination and donated a pack of essential dry rations and medicines for a cancer stricken wife of a soldier.

Further, matters pertaining to various welfare activities that were conducted and yet to be implemented for the benefit of war heroes and their families were extensively discussed at the meeting. The AGM was followed by a lady’s Get-together with the participation of retired presidents and members of the Seva Vanitha Branch.
