4 (V) ENGINEER REGIMENT CELEBRATES 113 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE

The illustrious 4 (V) Engineer Regiment, a cornerstone of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force legacy, marked a significant milestone on 23rd February 2024, as it celebrated its remarkable 113th Anniversary. The regiment planned several religious and ceremonial events Under the leadership and oversight of Overlooking commanding officer Major DSPRJRB De Silva SLE to commemorate the occasion.

The anniversary commenced with a vital blood donation drive on 20th February 2024. It was held within the camp premises and overall, 100 personnel participated. This was organized in order to bless for troops of the 4 (V) Engineer Regiment.

Following tradition, the regiment held the Pirith Chanting Ceremony and the Arms Giving Ceremony on 22nd February 2024 and 23rd February 2024 respectively. These events have been cherished customs throughout the regiment’s history. On 23rd February 2024, a general program was organized for all ranks lunch to commemorate the anniversary.

The regiment hosted gatherings for Senior NCOs on 24th February 2024 and for all ranks on the evening of 25th February 2024. The culminating event, The Officers’ gathering on 26th February 2024 at the officers’ mess was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including The Commandant of the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force and The Colonel Commandant of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers Maj Gen MK Jayawardhana RSP VSV USP ndu, many Senior Officers of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers and Retired Officers of 4(V) SLE along with the on service unit Officers.
