THE CONTINGENT COMMANDER PAYS A COURTESY CALL ON HIS EXCELLENCY THE AMBASSADOR OF SRI LANKA TO LEBANON

Lieutenant Colonel YSHNP Silva USP psc GR, the newly appointed Contingent Commander of Sri Lanka Force Protection Company, paid a courtesy call on HE the Ambassador of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Lebanon, Mr. Kapila Jayaweera at the Embassy Office in Beirut, Lebanon on 29 August 2025.

HE the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Lebanon warmly received the Contingent Commander and his team, congratulating him on establishing well after the recent arrival as the 16th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company in Naqoura. The discussion that followed was both cordial and insightful, focusing on diplomatic missions in Lebanon and the reputation gained by the Sri Lankan Peacekeepers in UNIFIL.

Towards the culmination of the visit, Lieutenant Colonel Nilantha Silva presented a memento on behalf of all the Officers and Other Ranks of the Contingent, to HE the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Lebanon along with his best wishes.
