14 TH CONTINGENT OF SLFPU PAYS COURTESIES TO HE THE AMBASSADOR OF SRI LANKA IN BEIRUIT

A group of contingent members of 14th Sri Lanka Force Protection Unit (SLFPU) paid a courtesy call on HE Mr Kapila Susantha Jayaweera, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Lebanon and Syria, on Thursday (07) March 2024 at the Ambassador's residence in Beirut.

The Ambassador warmly welcomed the team, headed by Colonel D.P.L.T. Kaluaggala RSP USP IG, the Contingent Commander of 14 SLFPU. Afterwards, both parties engaged in the cordial interaction. Therein, the Ambassador expressed appreciation for the commitment and dedication shown by SLFPU members during their past year as peacekeepers in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

The day's event culminated with the presentation of a memento to HE the Ambassador for his assistance and support provided to SLFPU during their tour of duty in Lebanon. A few Officers and Other Ranks were present on the occasion
