EXERCISE ‘STEEL STORM I - 2023’ CONCLUDES SUCCESSFULLY

‘Exercise Steel Storm I - 2023’, the joint live firing exercise was conducted during 05 - 09 June 2023 at the firing range of South Naqoura camp in Lebanon. This Exercise is held twice a year, aiming to practice the fire support procedure liaison with the UNIFIL Units and Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF).

UNIFIL Sectors, France (FCR), Force Commander Units (SLFPC, INDO FPC, TANZANIAN MPU), Marine Task Force jointly executed small arms and APC mounted machine gun live firing. Representing the Sri Lankan 14th Force Protection Company (FPC), 07 Sri Lankan peacekeepers and 04 members of the Quick Reaction Team (QRT) led by Maj Nuwan Mannage MIR took part in the exercise with 02 APCs and MPMGs
