VISIT OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL GENERAL STAFF TO THE 15TH SRI LANKA FORCE PROTECTION COMPANY AT THE UNITED NATIONS INTERIM FORCE IN LEBANON

Sri Lankan Army delegation headed by Major General U K D D P Udugama RWP RSP USP ndc psc- Director General General Staff along with Major General K A W N H Bandaranayake USP- Colonel of the Regiment Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and Brigadier S A Hettige RSP psc – Director, Directorate of Overseas Operations of Sri Lanka Army made an official visit to the Sri Lanka Force Protection Company at United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) on 11th February 2025 in parallel to their official visit to the Medal Awarding Ceremony.

Lt Col Darshana Vithanage RSP VIR, the Commanding Officer of 15th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company warmly welcomed the Sri Lankan Army delegation.

During the visit, Director General General Staff has conducted a troop address for all Officers and Other Ranks of 15th Force Protection Company and took the time to engage with expressing his concern to the two soldiers who were injured by a strike of fighting forces while performing force protection duties in UNIFIL HQ, Naqoura, Lebanon.
