TROOPS OF 13TH CONTINGENT SLFPC IN LEBANON RETURN TO SRI LANKA AFTER COMPLETION OF TOUR OF DUTY

The 13th Sri Lankan Force Protection Company (FPC) consisting of 90 Army personnel returned to Sri Lanka on Wednesday (1) March 2023 after completion of Tour of Duty in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).

The UN chartered Ethiopian Airlines flight touched down the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) Colombo at 1135 hours. Troops were warmly welcomed by few representative Officers of the Sri Lanka Army at the BIA and the contingent troops were subjected to do HIV, VDRL and FFI tests. Moreover, the 14th Contingent FPC is expected to leave for Lebanon on Thursday (2) March 2023 to take over the duties in UNIFIL.
