TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME HELD FOR THE SRI LANKAN TROOPS AT THE 14 TH CONTINGENT FORCE PROTECTION COMPANY IN LEBANON.

A "Technical Capabilities Development" programme was introduced for the troops serving at 14th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company in UNIFIL Lebanon on Tuesday (16) December 2023 with the objective of training soldiers on domestic technical applications. This short course is conducted as a weekend course for a one month of period without affecting to the troops' routing duties at UNIFIL.

The course is covered with theory and practical sessions on House Wiring technology, Auto Mobile technology, Auto Mobile Electrical System, Auto Mobile Paint Technology, Welding technology, Auto painting and Information Technology. Opening session was addressed by Colonel D.P.I.T Kaluaggala RSP USP IG, the Contingent Commander at the invitation of the Course Officer, Lt Col Sampath Fernando. Sixteen soldiers including a female soldier participated in the programme.
