SRI LANKAN & INDONESIAN CONVOYS IN SOUTH LEBANON CONDUCT JOINT ROAD PATROL

A Team of the Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SFPC) and Indonesian Force Protection Company (FPC), based in South Lebanon recently conducted a joint Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) and Light Vehicle Road Patrol on 19th February 2021 along the road running in front of the UNIFIL HQ (Mingy street) in South Lebanon for the first time in the UNIFIL’s history where both Contingents (SLFPC & INDO FPC) joined such an operation.

It was a move to maintain security in the outer vicinity of the UNIFIL HQ, train and standardize both FPC tactics, techniques, and procedures in road patrol system and strengthen soldiers’ camaraderie between two FPCs. One APC and light vehicle from each contingent took part in the patrol.

Officer Commanding, Sri Lanka Force Protection Company Lieutenant Colonel Sujeewa Batagalla and Commanding Officer Indonesian Force Protection Company Lieutenant Colonel Eka Wira Dharmawan were also associated with the event.
