SRI LANKA ARMY COMBAT CONVOY COMPANY IN MALI MINUSMA ASSUMES AIRPORT SECURITY DUTIES AT THE GAO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN MALI

As per the direction given by the Force Headquarters of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), 5th contingent of Sri Lanka Army Combat Convoy Company (SLACCC) assumed the security duties from the Bangladesh peacekeeping battalion at the GAO International Airport from 15 November 2023 to 10 December 2023.

Accordingly, Colonel W.W.N.P Wickramarachchi the Contingent Commander of 05th SLACCC made a formal visit to GAO International Airport to inspect the established security in GAO International Airport by observing each vulnerable point.
