PRE-DEPLOYMENT TRAINING COURSE -MINUSCA BEGINS AT IPSOTSL

Sri Lanka Air Force Aviation Unit Pre Deployment Training course - Central Africa (MINUSCA) was commenced on 10 July 2023 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL), Kukuleganga.

A total of 42 Air Force personnel including 04 Officers and 38 Other Ranks are following the course. The course has designed to provide the mandatory knowledge related to the United Nations and prepare proficient peacekeepers with high standards that are capable of performing duties collateral with the UN mandate. The main objective of this training is to offer a brief awareness about the relevant foreign country, location, surroundings, climatic conditions, cultures specially the duties and responsibilities in order to the UN mandate.

The opening address was delivered by Brigadier C A Rajapaksha RSP, the Commandant of the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).

The course will conclude on 11 August 2023.
