NEW DIRECTOR OVERSEAS OPERATIONS ASSUMES OFFICE

Brigadier G L S W Liyanage USP psc assumed duties as the new Director Overseas Operations at the Directorate of Overseas Operations at Army Headquarters on Monday (21) August 2023 during a brief religious ceremony at the Army Headquarters.

The incoming new Director symbolically placed his signature for a formal document signifying the acceptance of the new appointment at the auspicious minute.

The new Director, Brigadier G L S W Liyanage USP psc served as the Directorate of Information Technology of Sri Lanka Army at the Army Headquarters prior to this appointment.

Soon after the assumption of duties, he spoke to the officers and members of the staff and set out his vision for the directorate in the future. Further, he met with Major General M.G.W.W.W.M.C.B Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Director General General Staff (DGGS) of the Army at his office.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Directorate of Overseas Operations were present at the occasion.
