EXERCISE RESILIENT LINK VIII CONCLUDED SUCCESSFULLY

The bi-annual Communication Exercise ‘Exercise Resilient Link VIII’ was organized by the Combat Communications branch (J6) of the UNIFIL Headquarters in Naquora, Lebanon on Tuesday (09) May 2023 at the UNIFIL Headquarters premises in collaboration with the Sector East, Sector West, Force Commander Reserve (FCR), Marine Task Force (MTF), Sri Lankan Force Protection Company (SLFPC), Field Technology Section (FTS) and the Joint Operations Centre (JOC).

The objective of this exercise is to enhance the reactivity and interoperability of the deployed system, detect any shortfalls of the resources (personal, material, or procedures) and check reactions of the Forward Command Posts (FwCPs) which is used to exchange information with the Force Commander and the UNIFIL during the unexpected threatening situation. The Information Technology Officer and 2 x Radio Technicians of the 14th Force Protection Company (FPC) attended with 2 x Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) in the exercise.

In the meantime, Lt Col Alfredo Palacios, J6 Chief, Lt Col D P L T Kaluaggala RSP USP IG SLA, Contingent Commander of 14 th FPC together with few Officers joined the occasion to observe the progress of the exercise.
