CONTINGENT COMMANDER OF 14TH SRI LANKA FORCE PROTECTION UNIT VISITS KOREAN PEACEKEEPING BATTALION IN TYRE

Colonel D.P.L.T Kaluaggala RSP USP IG, the Contingent Commander of 14th Sri Lanka Force Protection Unit (SLFPU) together with the Deputy Contingent Commander, Lt Col WDSS Fernando USP , a few officers and Other Ranks paid a courtesy visit to Korean peacekeeping battalion (ROKBATT) UNP 2-5 stationed in Tyre on Wednesday(28) February 2024

During the visit, Colonel D.P.L.T Kaluaggala RSP USP IG and the newly appointed ROKBATT Commander, Colonel Wanseok Seo, engaged in a brief conversation concerning the role and tasks of current security situation in Lebanon. Therein, they exchanged their views about the responsibilities undertaken by ROKBATT regarding the CIMIC activities in the area and also the duties performing by the Sri Lankan Army peacekeepers in UNIFIL. The visit concluded with the exchange of tokens of appreciation between the two Commanders and a group photograph.
