BADMINTON COMPETITION - 2023 HELD AT UNIFIL HEADQUARTERS

The Force Headquarters Support Unit (FHQSU) and Welfare & Recreation Committee of UNIFIL jointly organized the open badminton competition during 05 - 09 June 2023 at the Rub hall of UNIFIL Headquarters in Naqoura, Lebanon.

During the tournament, male and female badminton players of Sri Lankan Force Protection Company (SLFPC) competed in Men's Single, Men's Double, Women’s Single and Women’s Double categories. Meanwhile, the female players of Sri Lanka Army 14th Force Protection Company (FPC) secured the second place in Open Women’s Double event after a competitive match against Indonesia. In the meantime, a large number of players from Indonesia, India, Malaysia, China, Nepal, France, Ghana, Sambia and Poland competed in the tournament.

Colonel Ezra Nathanael, Commander Force Headquarters Support Unit (FHQSU) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and presented the trophies, medals and certificates to all the winners. The achievement is as follows:
