8TH CONTINGENT OF SRIMED LEVEL 2 HOSPITAL IN SOUTH SUDAN AWARDED UN MEDALS

The UN medal awarding ceremony in appraisal of the service rendered by the Sri Lanka peacekeepers of 8th Contingent of SRIMED Level 2 Hospital in South Sudan was held in a grand scale on Tuesday(20) September 2022 at the UNMISS-Bor compound.

Lieutenant General Mohan Subramanian, the Force Commander of UNMISS graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. The Sector East Commander Brigadier General Dhruba Prakash Shah, the Head of Field Office Madam Geetha Pious and many other civil and military dignitaries were present at the event. Whilst Lieutenant Colonel NM Niflar USP the Commanding Officer of the 8th Contingent of SRIMED Level 2 Hospital delivered the Welcome Speech.

In addition to the day’s event, a drill display and cultural pageant were portrayed the discipline, regimentation, integrity, learning and the leadership skills of the Sri Lanka military. The ceremony was concluded in a jovial note with a myriad of blessings from all the participants.
