4TH COMBAT CONVOY COMPANY WAS AWARDED ‘MINUSMA SECTOR EAST FOR EXCELLENT’ MEDAL FOR THE YEAR 2022

Sri Lankan 4th Combat Convoy Company (CCC) employed at the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission (MINUSMA) in Mali has received ‘MINUSMA SECTOR EAST FOR EXCELLENT’ medal for the year 2022 from Brigadier General Stefan Anderson the General Officer Commanding of Sector East Headquarters on Tuesday (01) November 2022 in appreciation of their dedicated professional service rendered towards the mission in Mali.

Presently, only the 4th CCC is conducting convoy operations from the Sector East to Sector North countering attacks of all Jihadist terrorist organizations operating in Northern Mali in order to maintain unhindered logistic supply to sustain the UN bases located in remote areas of the Northern Mali.

Further, the General Officer Commanding of Sector East Headquarters appreciated the IED recoveries and bravery displayed in countering terrorist attacks during the operations and having recognized the professional service being rendered by the troops of 4th CCC.
