The COE Inspection Team from the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) conducted the Second Quarter Contingent Own Equipment (COE) Inspection for the 15th Sri Lanka Force Protection Company (SLFPC) on 23 May 2025 at the “Sri Base” camp premises in Naquora, Lebanon.
The quarterly inspection is carried out to assess the operational readiness of major equipment and self-sustainment equipment which have been provided by the government of Sri Lanka to meet the UN standards, set out in the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
The team, headed by COE Team Leader, Mr. Esmael Safieddine inspected all COE under categories such as Containers, Combat Vehicles, Support Vehicles-Commercial Pattern, Support Vehicle-Military Pattern, Armaments, Ammunition and Ammunition Storages, Logistics Equipment, Miscellaneous Equipment, Soldier Kit, Cleaning (Hygiene), Medical, Laundry, Observation, Welfare and Internet Access, Furniture, Catering and Fire Safety.
The Contingent Commander, Lieutenant Colonel DKD Vithanage RSP VIR liaised with the inspection team along other officers.
At the conclusion of the days proceedings, de-brief was conducted by each inspector along with their assessment.
