14 TH FORCE PROTECTION COMPANY JOINS VESAK CELEBRATION

The Vesak Festival is one of the most significant events in the Buddhist calendar and is celebrated by millions of people around the world.

In line with the Vesak Festival 2023, troops of 14th Force Protection Company UNIFIL, Naquora, Lebanon organized a "Bodhi Pooja" ceremony on Friday (05) May 2023 at the temple premises of Sri Base camp, Greenhill.

A Dhamma sermon followed by a ‘Beli mal dansela’ was held at the Sri House premises. Lt Col D P L T Kaluaggala RSP USP IG SLA Commanding Officer of 14th FPC together with all Officers and Other Ranks participated in day’s religious programme. The surrounding of the camp premises was decorated with Buddhist flags and colourful Vesak lanterns.
