As of this morning (4), a total of 356 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 21 Sri Lankan expatriates and 335 of those positive cases are locally-identified ones, including the majority 104 from Colombo district, 63 from Gampaha district, 35 from Ratnapura district and 133 others from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

Commending dedicated and exceptional roles of the Public Health Inspectors (PHIs), identical with those of "ground commanders," General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head, National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) during a special meeting this afternoon (20) at the NOCPCO, complimented PHIs on their untiring efforts, being made across the country hand in hand with all stakeholders for eradication of COVID-19 epidemic from the country.

As of this morning (2), a total of 545 including 541 locally-identified persons and 4 expatriates, UAE, (2) and Japan (2) were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, are 294 persons from Colombo region, 130 persons from Kalutara area and 36 from Kandy region, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

As of this morning (22), a total of 491 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them, are three expatriates and a foreigner who arrived from Turkey. All other 487 are from locally-identified affectees. Of those persons, 292 are from Colombo, 87 from Gampaha, 17 from Kurunegala and others are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

As of this morning (21), a total of 439 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Among them are three foreigners, including a seafarer and one Sri Lankan seafarer. All other 435 are from locally-identified affectees. As of this morning (19), a total of 327 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 2 of them are seafarers and all other 325 were from locally-identified affectees. Of those persons, 157 are from Colombo, 111 from Gampaha, 6 from Rathnapura and others are from different districts, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
