  • 401 More Infected Ones Reported in Past 24 Hrs-NOCPCO

    As of this morning (18), a total of 401more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 3of them are seafarers and all other 398 were from locally-identified affectees. Of those persons, 201 are from Colombo, 82 from Gampaha and 32 from Kalutara, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

  • Commander Joins SLMA's Online Educative Programme on Communicative Skills

    Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, in his capacity as Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) was invited this evening (16) by the Sri Lanka Medical Association (SLMA) to contribute to an online learning programme, meant for development of communicative skills for frontline health workers and the general public at large.

    As of this morning (16), a total of 704 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 3 of them are expatriates and all other 701 were from locally-identified affectees. Of those persons 541 are from Colombo, 39 from Gampaha and 08 from Galle, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

  • 7,899 Recovered Ones Leave Hospitals - NOCPCO

    As of this morning (15), a total of 392 more persons were confirmed positive to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 3 of them are expatriates and all other 389 were from locally-identified affectees. Of those persons 205 are from Colombo, 40 from Gampaha and 14 from Kalutara, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

  • Philanthropists Donate Jogging Masks & Face Masks for Use among Tri Service Troops

    Puritas (Pvt) Ltd was the latest among donors to extend appreciative gestures to the armed forces, engaged in COVID-19 control work when a few of those representatives this morning (10) called on Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army at the Army HQ to donate a stock of exclusive jogging/running masks and face masks that can be used by tri-service troops. This was the 5th as such, totalling to 14,000 face masks within this year.
